World Hospice and Palliative Care was observed on October 10th 2021 with the goal of improving the quality of life of people affected by serious health problems. The theme for this year was “Leave No One Behind”.

Our activities for the event:

• On 7th of October, Team Aravanaippu organised a volunteer connect programme and honoured volunteers with a memento and Thank You card for their continuous support and care towards out patients in the Karadivavi. Nineteen core volunteers were present and felicitated by village panchayat Vice President Mr.Marimuthu.
• On 8th October, Coimbatore Cancer Foundation along with PSG Hospitals observed the day by displaying posters with messages regarding Palliative Care and informative pamphlets were distributed to visiting patients and caregivers.
• On 9th October, CCF along with PSG Hospitals started a palliative care ward “SHANTHAM” which provides palliative care support, hospice and respite care in a subsidizedrates. On this day we screened the Pallium India founderDr.Rajagopal’s Hippocratic’s movie to the staff and students of PSG Hospitals.
